As you can see, Dauphin Island is a desolate place with no trees and very little scrub brush.

These last three pictures show the QTH I stayed at in May of this year on a recon trip for Nov. 2007 & Feb. 2008.
The view on the left overlooks the sound, a 2 mile stretch of water to mainland Alabama not far from Bayou La Batre where parts of the motion picture Forrest Gump were filmed.
